Where are the Knights in Shining Armor?

Say what you will to defend yourselves, boys; I stand by my statement. Chivalry is dead.
Remember the stories when men would slay the dragon, risking life and limb, for the princess? How about the days when it was common to find a man writing a love poem; courting a woman; generally being a good man? I want to go back to the days when there were wars started over women. Where the divorce rate was close to zero instead of close to fifty percent.
But we have become disillusioned, uncharmed, and we have lost our sense of chivalry. Now, women are impressed if a man even opens the door for her, let alone picks up the bill. Once upon a time, a man could pay for something or buy a gift for a woman, and she would simply go on as if nothing happened. Now, because we see it so rarely, we now feel indebted to the man, giving away our hearts, virginities, marriage vows, simply because he was chivalrous.
Women have even resolved to be treated with disrespect, accepting neglect, depravity, and abuse in all forms. It is common to hear a woman called awful names, such as bitch, whore, slut, and more. Domestic abuse has become so familiar that we shrug it off and call the local women’s shelter. And we simply deal with it!
Granted, I know I cannot start a movement to bring back the romance era, but can you please just open the door?
